KORBU FOREST COMPLEX

Korbu Forest Complex is an important biodiversity area especially for Malayan tigers as it is part of the Central Forest Spine (CFS) of Peninsular Malaysia. Safeguarding and monitoring of this area is crucial in efforts to help bring our tiger numbers back up.

RIMAU has established a patrol unit called AP - Korbu consisting of 30 Orang Asli patrollers including VetOA rangers to carry out necessary patrolling in Korbu Forest Reserve. This unit is a collaboration between RIMAU, Perak State Forestry Department and Department of Wildlife and National Parks.
